Information about the Club

 (1) The Club runs two shows each year .... a Championship Show and an Open Show.

(2) The Club normally publishes a Year Book each year containing the full list of members together with the addresses and phone numbers.

Also included are the results of Championship Shows under both Kennel Club and Irish Kennel Club rules and other pieces of information. The Year Book is supplied free to all paid-up members.

 (3) The Club appoints two trustees responsible for running the Cairn Terrier Relief Fund which looks after stray or abandoned Cairns. The Cairn Terrier Relief Fund is administered by Trustees from the six United Kingdom breed clubs.

 (4) Club officers will always be available to assist members in whatever way possible e.g. assisting by informing enquirers as to who has puppies for sale, or helping members requiring advice, explaining Kennel Club regulations or by arranging for new members to obtain show schedules.

 (5) New members will be helped with advice on how to show their Cairns.

 (6) The Club has arrangements with the cross-channel ferries to give members special reduced fares in travel connected with dog shows, etc..

 (7) From time to time the Club organises seminars in connection with the breed in particular and with dogs in general.

 (8) The stated objectives of the Club are to promote the breeding of the Cairn Terrier and to protect and advance the interests of the breed.
