JUDGE'S CRITIQUE

North of Ireland Cairn Terrier Club Ch Show

25 February 2006

My thanks to the exhibitors who gave me a good entry with some very high quality Cairns to judge. My thanks also to my two very efficient ring stewards.

It was pleasing to note that most exhibits had good mouths and that movement seems in general to have improved since I last judged, although poor back movement is still prevalent. However a number of exhibits appeared to me to be above the limit set down by the standard for the height and I also found a number rather longer in the back than my interpretation of the word “medium” would allow.
